Welcome to the website of Stichting AmuriaStichting Amuria focuses on helping to improve living conditions of people in Uganda in general and in the area Amuria District in particular. Due to huge setbacks these people lead a miserable life and there is a lot of infant mortality.
The District Amuria suffered of the terror from the LRA (the Lords Resistance Army) and later by floods in their area, making that all the crop was lost.
In the current policy are the following themes:
- To build a relationship with the people in Amuria District and win their trust.
- Providing assistance to husbandry by donating a cow, goat or chicken.
- The development of leisure activities for young people by setting up a soccer field and serving soccer balls and clothing.
- Caring for young children and encourage school attendance by building a school and linking a food program.
- Offering courses in order to promote independent living.
- Organizing (volunteers) travel to Uganda for a bit of local employment creation and projects.
