Who are we?

The Stichting was created and notarial established in April 2008.
The impetus for the creation of this Stichting (foundation) was a visit to Uganda in December 2007 by Dirk van der Linden and his daughter Linda, who wanted to foster a child from the Amuria District.
Through the many contacts with local people and the unlimited support they received, they felt the need to help these people into their poverty and adversity by supporting them with projects improve their own living conditions.
Stichting Amuria has a partnership with Amuria Foundation in Uganda.
The board in the Netherlands is responsible for administration including fundraising, organizing group travel, decisions on projects, etc.
The board in Uganda provides an input to start projects, monitor ongoing projects and initiate new projects.
